Nelson Mandela denies Winnie Mandela of properties, leaves half of his $4.1m estate to 3rd wife

Nelson Mandela’s ex-wife Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has been left out of his will, it has been revealed.
The former South African president has divided up his £2.5million estate between family members, staff and the ruling African National Congress.
However, he has chosen to give nothing to Ms Madikizela-Mandela – his second wife, with whom he had two daughters, Zenani and Zindziswa. Meanwhile, his third wife, Graca Machel, has been named as the main beneficiary of the will because their marriage was ‘in community of property’, according to executor, Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke.
She is therefore entitled to 50 per cent of his estate, which has been provisionally valued at 46 million rand (£2.5million), excluding royalties. But it is believed to have been accepted by his family with no contest so far.
As the main beneficiary, Ms Machel must claim her half of the estate within 90 days, said Moseneke, who was joined by executors George Bizos, a human rights lawyer who was a longtime friend of Mandela, and Themba Sangoni, a chief judge from the Eastern Cape province.
He added that although Madikizela-Mandela was not mentioned in the will, her grandchildren will each receive $9,000 (£5,500).
Full details of the will
Wife Graca Machel, who is entitled to 50 percent of his estate, worth at least $4.1 million. She is likely to waive that right in favour of receiving four properties in Mozambique, cars, art work, jewellery and other assets.
-Mandela’s children each get around $300,000, or if they borrowed that amount from him during his lifetime, have their debts annulled.
-Ms Machel’s children, Josina Machel and Malengane Machel, each get around $270,000.
-Mandela’s four grandchildren via late son Makgatho will each receive $300,000 and will have the use of his home in Houghton, Johannesburg.
-The African National Congress (ANC), gets between 10 to 30 percent of royalties from his various projects.
-Mandela’s home in his boyhood village of Qunu will be made available to the Mandela family, as well as widow Ms Machel and her two children.=Grandchildren from his first marriage to Evelyn Mase and second marriage to Winnie Madikizela-Mandela each get $9,000. You may not be able to see it that well in this particular photo, but Cassie is definitely flossin’ a new piece of bling on her ring finger. This past weekend, Diddy posted a photo of a nice, heavy, iced out ring with the caption:

Baby do you like it? I just want to get you wat you Like ! I just wanna Mk you smile :) #takeDat

A day later, Cassie was spotted wearing the new ring in a photo posted by Keyshia Cole, as well as one of her own. She also confirmed that Diddy gave her the ring when she commented under his photo:

I’m definitely smiling! It’s perfect!Puff obviously put a ring on it, but the bigger question is, “Did he propose this weekend?”Let us find out!

Catch the pics below:

Just last October, Diddy told the ladies of “The View” that love and happiness were more important than marriage, but he wasn’t ruling out jumping the broom just yet.

I think a lot of people put too much on marriage and not enough on happiness.[...] I’m happy, anybody that is in my life is happy. I just want to be happy and I think it’s important for you to protect your happiness and to love yourself, because then you can love other people the right way.

It definitely would be a dream come true for me to just one day be ready for that.[...]I’m not really looking because I know the responsibility that comes with that and I think that a lot of people, they jump into that and they’re not honest with themselves. I’m brutally honest with myself. I don’t want to get married and not make that woman be the best. I’ve been close to it and when I’m ready I’ll make the announcement, but when I do it, I’m doing it forever.

 Is Diddy ready for forever?
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Beyonce probably put that rumor out herself. Why would anyone in their right mind pay her to lip sync?

To succeed, believe in your dreams and don’t compromise —Don Daniel

Daniel Archibong, known as Don Daniel, is an aspiring gospel artiste with over 70 songs to his credit. He spoke with ’RONKE SANYA on why he abandoned secular music for gospel and burnt the over 50 secular songs he recorded. Excerpts:
Growing up?
I was born in Eket, Akwa Ibom State into a family of seven. While growing up, I lived in various parts of the country like; Lagos, Port Harcourt and Ibadan with uncles and aunties.

What inspires your lyrics?
Past events that occurred in my life reflects in my lyrics and also when I think about the Love of God for us; his children, how He sent his son to die for our sins, I am moved to sing. The teachings of my Pastor also affect the way I write my songs, I re-echo those teachings in my normal songs.

Why did you choose music?
To me, music is life and I enjoy doing music, even when I was not paid for singing, I still enjoyed it. I have always been in the church choir but I can say I started singing professionally in 2009 when I had the opportunity to record my own song in the studio, for a special ministration in church. That was when I started recording my songs and putting them on the internet for free downloads.

Why gospel music?
Actually, I started singing secular music in 2006 when I wasn’t born again and was still moving with some set of friends who influenced my lifestyle, then, I had over 50 songs, all secular music and I used to go to shows to perform. But in 2007, when I gave my life to Christ and joined the choir, I fell in love with gospel music and my vision changed from mere entertaining people to blessing them and changing lives through music. I burnt all the CDs of the song I did while still doing secular music and right now, Don Daniel is a gospel rock artiste and will remain so.

If you were given a music deal of N500 million and asked to drop gospel music for secular music, what will your response be?
(Smiles) Money doesn’t dictate for me, instead, I dictate for money. So, giving me a deal of N500 million cannot make me change my style of music from gospel to secular. The God that I praise through my songs is capable of giving much more than that. I live to praise God and I will always do.

Most embarrassing experience?
Oh! I can’t forget this easily, it was in November last year; I was invited to a church to sing and I gave them my song which I was going to sing when it was my time to minister so that they could play it for me, but surprisingly, when I was called on stage, they started playing a totally different song. I had to walk out of the stage to tell them to change the song to my own. Coming back on stage, I had to summon the courage to create a pleasing atmosphere for the audience so I could minister the song well.

Who are the artistes that you admire?
The only artiste I look up to and I really admire is Frank Edwards.

Songs you have to your credit choice so far?
At present, I have over 70 songs to my credit. I will be dropping my album, ‘Flying High’ in March this year, some of the hit tracks in the album include, ‘Miracle God’, ‘Wa wo ( a praise song, meaning come and see in English); ‘Flying High’; ‘Hold on’; ‘Am not Alone’; ‘Life is Spiritual’; ‘Thank You for your love’ and many more. Also, I dropped my single on Febuary 1, 2014 it’s titled ‘I believe’.

What message does your songs preach?
Just like motivational speakers inspire people through motivational talks and pastors teach people through preaching, gospel artistes are pastors who preach through songs.
My vision as a gospel artist is to inspire people to love God. Some of my songs talk about miracles. You know God heals us because He loves us. My songs also preach about God being the only one anyone could depend on, who would never fail and people should put their trust in Him always.

Words for other upcoming gospel artistes?
Keep believing in your dreams, keep believing in God and never, ever compromise your faith.
