Nigerian-based, US-born radio presenter Dan Foster is set to quit his
radio job for good and start a “Dan Foster Academy” where he’ll be
teaching broadcasting.
Reports claim that the OAP, who joined Inspiration FM station in 2009
after quitting from Cool FM, has turned in his resignation and left the
station.
“He also has not been on air this week. ‘He has resigned’” an OAP at Inspiration FM, who would rather not be named disclosed.
However, in a telephone chat with NET, Dan Foster said
‘I’m thinking of leaving, but I’ll still be consulting for them. I’m currently negotiating with management’
Foster said the one thing he still wants to handle is the very
popular ‘Praise Jam’ Sunday show which he says he loves. ‘It’s more like
a ministry for me. It has touched so many lives, I want to continue
with that, and even if that’s the only thing I get to do. I started the
show back at Cool FM and did it for free. I was only paid to work on
weekdays there.” He said.
He’ll be greatly missed.

5 Hidden Gems in Justin Timberlake’s OWN Confessions
2. How mad he is that he gave “Gone” to ‘N Sync.
“Gone” is a standout song from the ‘N Sync oeuvre, and the video — directed by Herb Ritts — is probably the best ‘N Sync clip. It wasn’t their biggest hit, but it’s nonetheless a signature moment in their catalog. That’s why it’s so funny to hear Timberlake announce that he “was literally punching myself in the face” when he learned that Michael Jackson, well after Justin and ‘N Sync had cut the track, wanted to record “Gone” as a duet with only him. At that point he couldn’t record the song with Michael, and thus the collaboration never occurred. That strikes me as some deliberate shade towards ‘N Sync. Also, if this occurred in 2002, we’re in the era of Michael Jackson’s “Invincible” album, when Michael was spending millions of dollars just for a lame Marlon Brando music video cameo. I actually suspect the song would’ve been less of a hit with Michael.
3. The claim that he had to “call up a couple of radio programmers” to verify that “SexyBack” was his song.
I’m not saying Justin is lying here, but what exactly does “calling up a couple of radio programmers” entail? “Hey, it’s me, Justin Timberlake. Just wanted to say that ‘SexyBack’ is my song. Thanks!” First of all, the song sounds exactly like Justin Timberlake, so it’s not like anyone required a voiceprint confirmation. Secondly, while I’m willing to accept that his label was unsure of the potential for “SexyBack,” it’s still pretty funny hearing Justin say he had confidence in the song because he “saw what it made people do.” I really wonder what it made people do. Fly, I hope.
4. The hilarious stakes he attaches to leaving ‘N Sync.
Leaving ‘N Sync may have been tough, but I’m not quite buying what he says when he recalls his naysayers during the end of his boy band days. “Why wouldn’t you ride this out? This is the biggest group in the world,” he recalls. “Why would you walk away from this?” Uh, because boy bands had clearly peaked? No one could argue that a boy band is a sustainable model for unending financial success. The real question would’ve been, “Why wouldn’t you walk away from this when you’re the only one afforded the opportunity to do so?”
5. The fact that he never identifies the members of ‘N Sync by name.
It always feels like Justin is referring to ‘N Sync as some juvenile organization where he attended a couple of jamborees in the ’90s. I understand that he’s broken free from that era of his music-making, but when he refers so vaguely to the people in ‘N Sync, it’s like he’s announcing that he’s embarrassed about it and doing his best to handle the subject diplomatically. Word to Justin: ‘N Sync was excellent! “Dirty Pop” for all time, sir.
Nigerian Supporters Club Wants 62 Million Condoms For Brazil 2014 World Cup
The Nigeria Football and other Sports Supporters Club on Monday
demanded for the provision of 62 million condoms for fans attending the
2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Rafiu Ladipo, the President-General of NFSSC, who made the demand in Abuja, appealed to the United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS to take the demand very seriously.
Ladipo’s appeal came on the heels of assurance by Bilali Camara, UNAIDS Country Director, that two million condoms would be provided for the entire duration of the 2014 World Cup.
He said instead of two million for the entire duration, UNAIDS should provide two million condoms each day for the 31-day tournament.
Ladipo said: “Of all football loving fans all around the world, I alone will be taking over 10,000 fans to Brazil, not only from Nigeria.
“You know that Nigeria will be playing their first three matches and there is going to be a match between Nigeria and Argentina.
“By the time we play that match, we will regard it as the match that will also qualify us to play Brazil in Rio de Janeiro during the final.
“If that is achieved, we want to be protected.
“We must be protected.
“So, I want to urge you (UNAIDS) to provide more condoms.”
According to Ladipo, it is important for UNAIDS to look into the request to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS during the World Cup.
He said the availability of condoms would help protect football fans who might want to have sex in Brazil after their daily assignment.
Nigeria is drawn in Group F alongside Argentina, Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Mundial, which kicks off on June 12.

Oh! Eto’o brands Mourinho a fool
Samuel Eto’o has fired a parting shot at Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, branding him a ‘fool’ for questioning his age.
Mourinho, who repeatedly criticised his strikers for failing to find the net during the season, was caught on camera earlier this year suggesting Eto’o was older than his official age.
Eto’o attempted to brush off the incident by pretending to be an old man as he celebrated his next goal for Chelsea, but the 33-year-old has vowed to prove the Portuguese coach wrong.
“Today, I am 33 years old. And it is not because a fool called me an old man that you must believe it,” Eto’o told africanfootball.com.
“And you may have noticed that the old man was better than the youngsters.”
“Some believe I am going to retire in the United States or in the Middle East, but I have regained the joy of the Champions League and I am going to carry on playing in the Champions League. Where? I am not going to tell you.
“But I am going to carry on playing because physically and mentally I feel great.
“So I am going to go to this World Cup and to the next one when I will be 37.
“Some did it at 42, so I can still play in two more World Cups.”

Humiliation! Lamar Odom Denied Access To a Club Because of Khloe
Lamar Odom nearly had a run-in with estranged wife Khloé Kardashian and her new beau French Montana on Tuesday, May 13 at West Hollywood hotspot Penthouse, and now, a source said.
"It was actually Khloé who invited Lamar to the club because she knew the E! cameras were going to be there," a source close to Odom explained. "She totally set him up and he is livid," the source says, adding, "she wanted it to look like he was stalking her on camera."
Following the near run-in, Khloé took to her Twitter and tweeted the next day the cryptic message: "Still hurts... Maybe it always will."
What a humiliation! Sorry Lamar...
