Farida Waziri succeeded Nuhu Ribadu when
she was in 2008 appointed the head of the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission. She was removed from her position by President Goodluck
Jonathan almost two years ago. Since then, this Benue state indigene has
made far and in-between appearances at functions especially those
hosted in Lagos.
Penultimate week, she made a sharp
detour from her usual practice when she turned up at a commendation
service that had in attendance the crème of society drawn from all
strata. Also at the event was former Inspector-General of Police, Tafa
Balogun in company with his wife.
