Earlier this month, BN reported that a South African judge had ordered Oscar Pistorius to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
Pistorius will begin the 30-day
psychiatric evaluation starting from next Monday at Weskoppies hospital,
a state institution in Pretoria,The Guardian reports. He will be assessed as an outpatient, attending the hospital only on weekdays between 9am – 4pm.
A panel of psychiatrists will determine
whether the Olympic and Paralympic athlete was criminally responsible
for shooting and killing his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
Court proceedings will resume on June 30th. On that day, reports filed by the medical panel of professionals will be revealed.
