In a new interview with Yes Magazine, this is what Halima said when told people see her as controversial
“I’m not controversial. Why? People talk and the press write. Guess
my name gives them (gossips) orgasm. I’m a simple home couch-loving
lady. I love my bed, my comfort; whether there is spring or mat, I’m
great at home. I don’t party. I feel like I don’t have fun and still not
having fun, because I’m too serious and have been working since I was
13 years. But, it’s okay. I’m here making my own rules and making sure I
follow them. I love meriting stuff, so I don’t cut corners. Hard work
is better. You can sleep your way through, but it never lasts. I knew
that from day one. When people reject me, I don’t worry because they are
the ones missing and losing, not knowing how amazing I am. People love
judging and as long as people love hearing hear says, then they add lies
to sweeten the gist. So, how am I controversial? I’m always
misunderstood by lots of people. Just because I don’t talk too much does
not mean I’m unfriendly or arrogant. I’m just a calm-natured person.
Not giving to stress. People have made me calm because of their constant
gossips. I’m now like “Django”. I laugh and move on. I know that people
still fight for me behind. So, God bless you all for the love.”

Tour In USA, Another ‘Ijoda 9ja Dance Bournout’ To Hold says Dance queen Kaffy
As if conquering the world of dance in Nigeria and making the
profession more desirable amongst aspiring Nigerian dancers wasn’t
enough, Kaffy has set her sights on higher goals. The Nigeria’s dance
queen is set to take her dance workshop to New York on Tuesday, 20th
May, 2014.
The workshop, which is opened to dancers, fitness enthusiasts and good timers of all ages, combines fitness and dancing as a way to free the mind, body and spirit.
Recall Kaffy held a similar workshop in London last month where she explained the purpose of the class saying, “I’m not doing this because I’m trying to get my brand out there. Let me tell you something, I started dancing in a country at a time when no young person could go home and tell their parents that they wanted to dance. I’ve taken the cross for a lot of dancers; I’ve nailed myself to the cross for a lot of dancers. I’ve made some sacrifices. I’ve been called everything. I’ve been called a pr*stitute and everything.”
She also gave the attendees advice on lifelong decisions saying “I studied Civil Engineering. I’m a Mathematics freak. My desire is to change the world. I’m now applying what I learned into what I do right now. There’s a lot of what I learned at school that applies right now. I’m not saying education is anything to toy with but just learn to apply what you learn at school.
“Don’t just go to school because of mummy and daddy. I took the challenge because I wanted to prove to my parents that anything you do in this world you can be somebody from it.”

I Can Go Naked – Project Fame 2008 Star, Annette Cookey
Third runner-up winner of Project Fame West Africa 2008 edition,
Annette Cookey, despite expressing her love for music, has disclosed
that she could go unclad.
The Rivers state born singer stated that though she dislikes people going unclothed in music videos, but could only do that to save a live.
“Why will I go n^de in a music video? Except it’s for charity or to save lives. I don’t think I can go n^de. It’s a ‘No’! for me. I can show a little flesh here and there but go n^de? It has to be for a just cause, may be for saving lives,” the pretty lady told Vanguard in an interview.
The former talent hunt show contestant added that her journey into music has been quite interesting, though not necessarily a smooth ride, but that she has been able to meet a lot of people and contacts.

President Goodluck Jonathan Mocked by Time Magazine
President Jonathan have being tag to be lacking in credibility. The UK Times Magazine political cartoonist, Peter Brookes, did this
cartoon of our president, to conform with what some world leaders think
of the man who leads the most populated black country in the world.
The first to set the ball rolling was USA's Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton who said:
Jonathan is running a government that is supervising syphoning of Nigeria's resources;
while US Senator, John Maccain said:
Jonathan's government is practically not existing and therefore, America should just storm Nigeria and rescue the (kidnapped) girls before things got out of hand.
Do you believe that President Jonathan has lost grip of his government?
They said picture speak thousands of language, what language did this speak? share your views...

I’ll Marry The Man Who Can Forgive Me – Actress Genevieve Nnaji
“As for marriage, it’s every woman’s dream to get married. We can’t
lie to ourselves. I do want to get married but overtime I have had
opportunities to get married but I realize getting married is not
actually the problem. The problem is finding someone you are compatible
with because…
“I’m born Catholic, I’m raised Catholic, I don’t believe in divorce. If I get married, I really want to stay married and staying married is not an easy thing. It means you are completely in tune with your partner. It means you’ve found your soul mate because you’ll have to be able to stand a lot of disappointments that would definitely come but then again you have to learn to forgive.
“For me, before I choose a partner I have to ask myself if this is the kind of person I would be willing to forgive no matter what when the time comes. If the answer is no, then that person is wrong for me. That person is not the person you want to get married to. If you know you can look into someone’s eyes and say yes, this is the most you can do to me. If you actually cheat on me the first time, I can find it in my heart to forgive you. If you can answer that question honestly and truthfully to yourself then you’ll know if that person is your partner or not.
“So compatibility is the word aside from the physical attributes that have to go with it. I need to be comfortable because I’m a woman and I’m used to a certain lifestyle.”

Nigerian Immigration reacts to Davido’s claims of harrassment by their officers
Few days ago, Davido tweeted that he missed his flight to London
because of immigration officers who were harassing him at the Murtala
Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja because of money. The Nigerian
Immigration Service has responded to Davido’s claims.
In a statement released today by the NIS Public Relations Officer, Emeka Obua, they said Davido had approached immigration officers at MMIA on the fateful day with the intention of travelling out of the country and presented a US passport number 460918874 issued at Georgia on Dec. 14, 2009 and valid till December 14, 2019.
It explained that the officer that attended to him drew his attention to the fact that his US passport had no Nigerian visa on it with which he would have been admitted into the country, and Davido reportedly responded that he had a Nigerian passport but forgot it at home. Continue…
The statement said,
“The officer now informed him that he should go and bring the Nigerian passport to convince him that he did not enter Nigeria illegally with a foreign passport without visa. Adeleke started arguing with the officer, who had to refer the case to his superiors and the verdict was that he could not make the trip unless he produced the said Nigerian passport.
“Livid with anger, Adeleke, in company with his bodyguards, started protesting in a disorderly manner, prompting the Comptroller of Immigration in-charge at MMIA to intervene. He advised Adeleke to call his bodyguards to order (caution) and comply with the lawful instruction which would not only erase any doubt as to his immigration status but also establish his claim to dual citizenship.”
Davido was said to have left and on the following day produced his Nigerian e-passport with number A02227477 issued at Abuja on August13, 2010 and valid till August 12, 2015.
The NIS stated that the passport was endorsed and the artiste then proceeded on his trip.
The statement added,
“This behaviour of Adeleke is quite unfortunate. One would ordinarily have expected some form of commendation from him for the professional manner the officers, who attended to him, conducted themselves especially in saving him from embarrassment at some international port of entry by ensuring that his passport is endorsed as is the law and practice in Nigeria .
“The intention of this statement is not to to join issues with Mr. Adeleke but to set the facts of the incident, as it happened at MMIA on the said day straight.”
