Meraiah, daughter of Nollywood star, Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde, has
finally removed the controversial photographs posted on her Instagram
page some days ago.
Recall that the actress went hard on bloggers for describing her
daughter as ‘sexy’ and ‘hot’. But days after her outburst on Facebook,
the pictures were never deleted until a journalist lashed out at Omotola
for still allowing the controversial photographs on the 14-year-old’s
social media account.
However, the pictures have now been deleted from Meraiah’s Instagram page.

Keep Off Your Husband’s Phones! Dayo Amusa Warns Ladies
Her words to women,
Some of us complain of problems in marriage and some are down with
one sickness or the other simply because we don’t want to overlook those
irrelevant things.
Why on earth should a woman carry the husband’s phone when he is in
the bathroom just because she wants to catch him in his sexcapades?
Why create time just to drive around town looking for where his car
is parked? Why liaise with your female friends to get him caught when
some of them are after him and ready to take him from you? Na high blood
pressure you wan give yourself so. Continue after the cut.
I don’t think this is necessary because even the man preaching to
you and kissing his wife on national TV could have his girlfriend
sitting right in front of him. You see your husband’s friend kiss his
wife as they move along the road and to you, he’s the best husband on
earth;he could be the chief of all sinners and your husband a saint to
him.
A guy here will always use his wife’s picture as his profile
picture; you won’t even get to see his own face here. But right there on
his page are three of his girlfriends. This very randy guy uses that to
deceive the poor woman and showers all kinds of praises on her
meanwhile, one of the girlfriends on his page is a married woman.
Ladies, your pastor may shower those praises on his wife with his
girlfriend sitting right on the first row.
I know every woman wants to be celebrated by her man. I know we all
love it when our pictures are used as his profile picture. I know we
love to be hugged and kissed by him as we walk with friends. But I also
know that some men are not good at it and yet they are better than some
smart thieves. Just ignore those things that lead to sickness and the
end of happiness in your marriage; keep loving and praying for him. With
age,he will get tired and come home even if he sleeps with two daily.
Ladies, don’t go to your man’s phone. If you are number one or ten,
that’s where you are in his life.Even when he doesn’t ask for it, girls
are ready to send nude pictures of fake breasts and buttocks just to
have him. If he loves you, they can play all the games with you but you
remain the one he truly loves and adores; others are just cheap
playthings. All the photos and text messages await you once you develop
the itching ears. When eventually you see them, you will either take a
walk or live in perpetual sadness. You see; it’s not worth it.
What Do You Think?

Liverpool Will Never ‘Just Grind Out Results’ Like Chelsea, Says Brendan Rodgers
Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers says that he will never ask
his players to play like Chelsea do, preferring instead the attacking
approach that the Reds have adopted so far this season under his
management, according to reports in the Independent.
The Merseyside giants overcame struggling Swansea City 4-3 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League to move six points clear of rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth and final qualifying berth for next season’s Uefa Champions League.
And after the game, Rodgers said: ”I worry always to play good football. I’m not one who is totally satisfied to always just grind out results. It is about winning and that’s what professional sport is about at this level.
“But for us I will always concentrate on performance because I think that the consequence of performing well consistently is getting results and this season we’ve shown that. We’ve shown that when we play well we get the win.
“The problem is that it’s not coaching. Some of the things we conceded goals in you can’t coach that. There’s a feel when you’re in the game of how to defend and you have to use that experience to be able to defend properly.”

There were no Picnics or walk-in-the park stories between my Father and I – Clarence Peters
It is no more news that the relationship between Juju maestro, Sir
Shina Peters, and Nollywood icon, Clarion Chukwura, produced celebrated
music video director, Clarence Peters. But what some may not know is
that Clarence started having to relate with his father well about five
years ago.
The young peters disclosed recently that it was about five years ago that he began understanding his dad’s person.
Clarence said “I started having a relationship with him five years ago. When one starts having a relationship with one’s father when one is older, one tends to understand a lot of things about him which one will not understand as a kid. I understand a lot of his mistakes; I relate with his mistakes and empathise with them. I understand where he was coming from. When we have discussions now, I understand the conversations more, which I am not sure I would have if I were still a kid.
There were no picnics or walk-in-the park stories between my father and I, but there are many things to gain and learn from his wealth of experience as an artiste and a man. Our relationship is more on the standpoint of his wealth of knowledge in the arts and as an artiste. We have an artistic relationship.”
Asked he was attracted to his father’s works “I am not attracted to my father’s body of works. I am mostly attracted to his choice of percussions and the melodies. I am enthralled by the way he does it. I think my father’s best performance for me was when I was in his house one day. There was no light and he was drinking a bottle of Gulder. He took his acoustic guitar and played for an hour. I know that he has not done his best work yet. Nigerians are ready for him to do his best work but he doesn’t believe they are ready for him. Those who know him will agree that he has not done his best work.

Appointing SANUSI As CBN Governor Was A Huge Mistake – PAT UTOMI
As controversy rages over the suspension of Mallam Sanusi
Lamido, a renowned economist, Professor Pat Utomi has berated the tenure
of Lamido as a Central Bank governor, describing his original
appointment as “a huge mistake”
Reacting to the suspension of the controversial apex bank chief in a
chat in Abuja, the Director of Lagos Business School, said Sanusi
should never have been appointed as a Central Bank governor in the first
place, declaring “it should not have happened”
Utomi joined two Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Mr. Femi Falana and
Chief Mike Ozhekome who had issued legal positions on the suspension of
the apex bank chief.
While Falana blamed Sanusi for not resigning when so directed by
President Goodluck Jonathan, Ozhekome cited alleged infringements of
extant rules to justify Sanusi’s suspension.
Utomi, however, faulted the nomination and appointment of Sanusi
five years ago on the ground that the suspended bank chief lacked
certain qualities of a Central Bank Governor
Utomi said: “It should not have happened. Sanusi’s appointments was
wrong in the first place. He was not suitable for the job. CBN
governors all over the World are men of great discretion in actions,
pronouncements and deeds.

A.C Milan Striker Gets 18-Month Jail Sentence
Mbaye Niang, who joined Montpellier on loan last month from AC
Milan, has been sentenced to a suspended 18-month jail sentence after a
hit and run car accident.
The 19-year-old Frenchman admitted hitting several cars before crashing his Ferrari into a tree earlier this month.
The prosecutor had asked for 170 hours of community work but the court handed him the suspended sentence instead.
Eleven people, some of whom were slightly injured, had filed a civil complaint.
“I panicked,” the player told a Montpellier court on Monday, when asked why he never stopped after hitting the vehicles.
Francois Lafont, lawyer for the plaintiffs, said: “It was pure craziness. It´s not just an accident, this is assault. Ten people could have been killed.”

After nine years of marriage, Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton split
US hitmaker Robin Thicke and his wife Paula Patton have separated after nearly nine years.
In a joint statement to People Magazine, the couple said they’d always be best friends.
“We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” they said.
There have been rumours that the Hollywood couple’s relationship has been on the rocks ever since Robin released his controversial Blurred Lines video last year, and then sang it live on TV while Miley Cyrus twerked on him.
Robin and Paula met when they were teenagers, married in 2005 and had a son, Julian in 2010.
“I knew she was special the night I met her. I was only 14, but she was already the most special girl,” Miley’s twerking co-star told Star Magazine a few months ago.
“As a relationship progresses, you fall in love again in so many deeper ways. You realize that you need each other and you can’t live without each other.”
The Blurred Lines singer gave a gushing interview praising his wife Paula, just days after a picture emerged of him groping a young fan back in September.
He told Prestige magazine: “I don’t know if I would still be alive in some ways if it wasn’t for Paula. She’s been my rock, my muse, my inspiration and I love her. The whole way.”
Actress Paula, who has a three-year-old son with the sunglasses loving singer, also gave her verdict on what makes the couple tick.
She said: ‘We’re best friends. We laugh a lot. But that’s our down time. We do the things you’re supposed to do, like work out. We love to travel together and travel with our child.
“We don’t have normal jobs. So it’s always a work house. Robin makes music at home and my job when I’m not on set always brings people into our home.’

Foluke Daramola’s Hubby Opens up on why Ex- wife Abandoned their Marriage
Foluke Daramola and hubby Kayode Salako are still trying to get
people to understand their love and for the first time too, in a chat
with CityPeople, Kayode revealed the actual reason, according to him,
his ex wife left their marriage.
Excerpts:
“I am granting this interview because I believe it is time for me to tell the world, why my ex wife decided to leave. That is the essence of this interview.
I want the whole world to know that Bukola did not leave me because of 3 things (1) that I am irresponsible (2) that Foluke used juju to drive her away (3) because members of my family wanted to kill her.
I need to give you a clear picture of what happened so that my wife can be free from that mess. I want to say that Bukola was the one who packed up the marriage and left. But I know it was a very painful decision for her.
Even before I met Foluke, the two of us have been discussing it. We have been thinking on how to go about it. Bukola did not enjoy that 13 years she lived with me, because I was treating one ailment or the other. She was always in and out of the hospital.
Why?
I don’t know. I don’t fall sick. I am AA blood group. Foluke is AA. She is AA. My ex-wife is AA. When you are AA you don’t have business with sickness. I am telling you that since I know myself to be a human being, I have never been to the hospital. Foluke has never fallen ill since I married her. In my family, we don’t fall sick and we have longevity.
In my ex-wife family too, they don’t die young. They don’t fall sick. But unfortunately she never enjoyed that 13 years because she was always falling sick. Today we will treat eye problem with excruciating pain. Tomorrow it will be ear, then teeth, then the back. It was always from one mysterious problem to another throughout the 13 years.
Even before I started my Fasholamania project that brought me to limelight. We have been going through all that. But how many people will I tell that outside. There was a time I slept in the hospital for almost 6 months. Even before she gave birth to my 3 boys I saw hell because from day I of the pregnancy, it was hell till she delivered. But one thing that is mysterious is that Bukola did not know the mystery behind her health problems in the marriage.
I, the husband was not falling sick. There was even a time, Bukola died in the hospital. She was certified died. About 20 minutes after she opened her eyes again and came back to life. You can go to Life center Hospital at Amore Street in Ikeja. The hospital is own by Redeemed Church. They can tell you our story there. How we always come in and out of there.
That hospital was not only our hospital. We had several hospitals. Sometimes I will have to rush my wife to the hospital at 1 am to 2 am at night when her health condition starts. So throughout all the 13 years, Bukola never enjoyed the marriage. It was so mysterious that I had to go out to consult some Pastors to pray.
Please take us back to when we first her (Foluke). How did you hit it off?
In a nice way. Foluke did not jump at me at first. At the time we met she was already preparing to leave Nigeria, to relocate to Canada. So she was only gathering money to travel with her children. She didn’t want to prostitute like other women. She is a principled person to the core. She does not believe in using sex to build a relationship. So she didn’t jump at me, in fact she gave me a hell of a problem. I was confused. I later understood her and we became friends. I think maybe I touched the better part of her heart, maybe from the subtle way I related with her. We used to talk a lot and we used to relate as friends.
I am like that too. I am 43 years old but I am young at heart. I behave like a child. That is what got to Foluke. I was hanging around her like a natural friends, agelessly. I just discover that after a while Foluke started liking me unusually she started becoming drawn to me. At the end of the day we became very good friends and she was even ready to be learning from me. She began to take my advice. At a time, she now saw me beyond just being friends. She now began to see me as an elder brother and a true companion and someone she could always count on. That was how the whole story started. We didn’t start by sleeping with each other.
What one Bukola Fasuyi was saying around last year was all fallacy. There was no truth in it. My own Foluke is not the kind of woman who needs to do juju to a man. That is not her orientation. She is a woman who believes in going to school to acquire more and more certificates. I have lived with Foluke for one year now and I can say she is the best thing that has happened to my life.
Right now, she has become a natural part of me. I am so used to her to the extent that I sometimes forget that I have lived with a woman before. We discussed everything. I live in her now and she lives in me. That is how we started it and that is what we have built it up to. So, I want to disabuse that public impression that my wife used juju to woo me. I want to say I am not that type of a man any woman can use juju to woo or snatch. Foluke knows the kind of person I am. Before she even tries it, I will know.

I am Unique, People notice me everywhere I go…says Queen of Nigeria’s hairiest women
Narrating her experience, Queen said she started noticing the hair at unusual places at the age of 21. According to the Anambra State born lady, she has seen the good, the bad and the ugly because of her abundant hairs. She said she has become the cynosure of all eyes wherever she goes, sometimes to her utter embarrassment. At one time, she narrated how a gay person approached her to have anal sex with her, promising to pay her a princely sum of N500,000. She said this was the most terrible encounter she has had on account of her hairs. She, of course, refused the offer. She said even lesbians also “toast her” to hangout with her because they found her attractive in both ways, both as a man and as a woman.
When this reporter met Queen in a bus going to Oshodi from Mile 2, in Lagos some months ago, passengers were starring at her embarrassingly. As the lady tried to hide her face, more eyes were on her, thus arousing much interest from co-passengers.
Queen eventually opened up to this reporter, maintaining that she was not using the story to beg for money or as a form of publicity stunt, but only to draw the attention of NGOs to fight for women with such rare disability as hers. Queen believes that she is a normal person with unwanted recognition from the society.
She told Sunday Sun: “My name is Queen Nonyerem Okafor. I am from Anambra State. We are five children from our parents, three girls and two boys. I inherited the hairs from my mum and it runs in the family. Once you get to 21 to 23 years in our family, you start experiencing hair growth. I am 26 years old now, when I was in secondary school, much hairs were not on my body. It started when I finished my secondary school. I am not granting you this interview as if I need help or money, no! I want to tell my story and what it means to be a hairy woman. All I need is for an NGO to take up my case as a woman with abnormal conditions and also to act in the movie industry.”
She revealed to Sunday Sun that the change on her skin initially made her uncomfortable, but following advice from good people, her confidence was boosted. In her words: “The first time it started to grow on my body, I was ashamed, but someone advised me that I shouldn’t bother, that it is a blessing not a curse. The person told me that I am unique, besides, wherever I go, I would be recognised. She advised me that I shouldn’t be ashamed, rather that I should be proud of myself. It was her that gave me strength and boosted my self esteem. Some people think that I am a man. Some think I fixed my breast to deceive people. Men especially find it difficult to believe that I am a woman. It was when we interact that most men are reassured that I am a woman. It has made me to be very popular and recognised in public. It has boosted my confidence to socialize. People want to identify with me to know the stuff I am made of. Some want to find out where this girl is coming from. People call and dash me money because of my hairy nature, but I don’t beg for money.”
Queen said she tried to stop the work of nature by applying all sorts of cosmetics and native substances, all to no avail but it turned out to cause more harm than good. “Before the advice came, I was asking God why all these now? I was thinking of what to rub to clear the hair from my skin. I rubbed tortoise faeces and a lot of things people recommend for me to use, but it didn’t remove them, rather it caused more harm than good as I started growing bumps and sores while the hair was still coming out. So, I stopped rubbing those things. I suffered those lumps trying to stop the growth,” she narrated.
She revealed that her worst time comes when the weather is too hot and during the dry season. “When there is much heat, I feel terrible, it doesn’t itch but it really inconveniences me most times. That`s why I have to wear or put on light cloths because sweat soaks my dress when I go out. Once you see me, you know that heat is dealing with me as a result of my hairy skin. I used to shave it off but if I want to shave all, it will cause me lumps all over my body. She said she had not taken the medical option seriously. “I have not gone to hospital. I don’t care anymore because it is from within my blood and it is hereditary. I don’t need it because I can`t be using my money on something that refuses to free me. A doctor had advised that surgery can remove it, but not in Nigeria. Maybe outside the country, but I am not interested.”
Queen revealed that her hair has not changed anything in her love life, neither does it stop men from admiring her, rather it has turned many heads to look at her. “A man that is meant for me will come when the time comes. It is not a problem. I will get married, after all, there are other disabled people that are married despite their condition. When I was 18 or 19 years old, I was supposed to have married, but it was just that the man was a hot tempered person. He was my suitor and we ended it there. He was seeing the hair coming little by little. People are appreciating me and a lot of people are still coming for my hand in marriage. I have been seeing many men coming to ask me for relationship, even one claimed he is from a European country that he came back to Nigeria to look for a woman to marry. But most men just want a fling, they don’t want serious relationship. I was doubting if he was real or not. I have admirers just like every other girl. Most times, I have admires more than normal girls. But most men are not sincere, my mother would say that love is not by lip service. I have been hearing things like, I want to marry you, but after sleeping with you, the man will end up dumping you for another woman. My boyfriend likes me the way I look and I have not been dumped because I am hairy. Men don’t break my heart. I don’t trust men easily because I wouldn’t allow myself to have emotional breakdown. I can`t wait for my heart to be broken. In my village, an old woman has advised that she knows that I am not yet married, but I should believe that my own person is coming. She said that when my husband will come, I will find it difficult to believe that the man is my own. She told me that is how her own daughter looks. But now I have come to appreciate how I am created,” she said.
Narrating her most embarrassing moment in high density locations like market places, she disclosed that people crave to see her face. “I came to Lagos last year to see whether I can stay in Lagos or not. Other times I have been coming and going. But the truth is that I have been enjoying my stay in Lagos now because something good is happening. Anytime I go out, people will notice my presence and look at me. For instance, the first time I went to Ladipo Market, people besieged me, both traders and touts snapping me with their phones and video. You would be shocked how they gathered and caused chaotic situation that day, you would have written it as big news, to the extent that I went to a shopping complex and they started clapping for me, calling me Eze Nwanyi, which means Queen. They were hailing me so much. It was the most embarrassing day of my life. The traders and touts left what they were doing to follow me around and saying all sorts of things, if not for one man that offered to give us a lift, we wouldn’t have escaped those boys. There was a time I went to Alaba International Market with a sister and traders were peeping through the window to see my face and they were saying, ‘she is all hairs oh!’ Someone has stepped down from a bus because of me, a lady. Both of us were entering a bus at Mile 2 and immediately she glanced at me she changed her mind and immediately alighted from the bus despite that the bus conductor was urging her to enter, that was the only time someone refused to ride in the same bus with me.
Queen whose dream is to become an actress, said she was forced to resign because of sexual harassment from her employer. “If I have the opportunity of becoming an actress, I can do that but it is to get the right person to help me. I need somebody to help me because I am perfect in everything I do. I need someone to put me through but people tell me that for some producers or directors, all they are after is to sleep with you. I have not encountered that yet, but people have been telling me to be careful. People get easily attracted to me.
The dark complexioned Queen shocked the reporter with her revelation on how homosexuals plead to take her to bed. She also explained why she pierced her nose. “Why I pieced my nose was because it is fashionable, though I know I look weird already, I don’t give a hoot. It is my body, I accept the fact that I am strange. A woman has toasted me at Elegushi Beach while I was there with my friends. On that day, she called me and gave me her complimentary card and begged me to hop into her car, but I refused. She insisted and begged to be my friend, but my mind told me that she is a lesbian and she was inviting me to Ajah. I turned her offer down because I know that most lesbians are into cultism. Some women will see me and extol my qualities, saying that they see women with hairs but that my own is the highest. In fact, one said I am the queen of hairy women. I met a guy at a supermarket and he was obsessed about me, before you knew it, he started telling me that he liked me, that I am beautiful and all that. Normal toasting, I thought he was like every other man as usual, but after the toasting, he went straight to the point, to tell me that he would like to have sex with me through my anus, promising to give me half a million naira. But I rejected it immediately, God forbid! I can`t tamper with my anus. I stopped seeing him and refused to pick his calls. I can`t do that. Another man begged me to bear him a child that will look like me, also promising to reward me handsomely. When I am praying, I plea with God to help me overcome them. Nobody can rape me because I am fearful, but men see me and get sexually aroused because I look special because of the hairy skin, but I have not been embarrassed or raped. Being hairy gives me protection as people see me and get afraid of me. Those guys who attack people see me and hail me. They will not like to do anything bad to me.

I Don’t Have A Problem Acting Nude Because My Body Is My Laptop
Sylvia Oluchy, a fast rising actress in an interview with
BestofNollywood, was asked if there’s a limit to what she can do on set
and if she could go nude for a movie role and here is what the actress
said;
”I don’t have any boundaries because my body is my laptop. Others have their laptops and files, what I have is my body and voice, Even the concept of nudity, I don’t have any problems what so ever, but it has to make sense, if it enriches the story and is done tastefully, I mean sometimes you can see nudity been done for a good reason, like in the west, they could take off their clothes to protest. Like I said, I don’t have problem with nudity, I just want it to make sense”.

Military closes Calabar-Cameroon border
The military says it has closed a long stretch of its
northeastern border with Cameroon to stop extremists using Nigeria as a
haven and launch pad for attacks.
Brig. Gen. Rogers Nicholas of the 23rd Armored Brigade told
reporters Saturday he was exercising emergency powers because it is
“imperative” to seal the border between Cameroon and Adamawa state
against illegal crossings.
He said customs and immigration officials are working with soldiers and police “to ensure that nothing crosses into Nigeria.”
Large stretches of that porous border are generally left unpatrolled.
The border between Borno state and Cameroon, which Nigerian troops
and a jet bomber crossed last month in pursuit of extremists, apparently
remains open.
The move will affect hundreds of traders who routinely cross the border.
Court Bar SSS, Other Security Agents from Arresting Sanusi Lamido pending plea
A court has issued an order on security agencies, barring them
from arresting suspended Central Bank Governor Lamido Sanusi, after he
was briefly detained and his passport seized at the airport, a document
viewed by Reuters showed.
Justice Buba Ibrahim issued the order on Friday, after Sanusi
complained that his detention had breached his right to freedom of
movement, since he had not yet been charged with committing the
financial malpractices for which he was suspended.
President Goodluck Jonathan suspended Sanusi on Thursday, removing
an outspoken critic of his government’s record on corruption, citing
“acts of financial recklessness”.
Since the suspension, presidential spokesman Reuben Abati has
accused the central bank of procurement irregularities during Sanusi’s
tenure, most of them dating back to 2011.
Sanusi, who was due to end his term in June, had been presenting
evidence to parliament that he said showed the Nigeria National
Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) failed to pay $20 billion it owed to
federal government coffers, fueling suspicion his arrest was meant to
silence him.
The presidency denies it was politically motivated.
NNPC has repeatedly denied Sanusi’s allegations, which brought the
bank governor into conflict with Jonathan’s administration a year before
the presidential elections.
The court ruling will remain in place until a case Sanusi brought
alleging violation of his human rights in his brief airport detention,
has been decided, the judge said.
That case will continue on February 28.
Sanusi’s suspension caused panic in the markets, with the naira
falling to record lows, as foreign investors sold off bonds, money and
stocks.

My Mum was a strong woman and I learnt a lot from her – Doris Simon
In a Recent interview, the actress who recently signed movie deal in South Africa talked at length about her failed marriage.
The mother of one also spoke briefly about her ex-hubby, Daniel Ademinokan who eloped with her colleague, Stella Damasus.
Read the Interview Below:
Interviewer: Did you ever imagine that you were going to be separated someday?
Doris Simeon: No, I never thought I would be separated someday. Yes, it definitely hit me when it happened. But life goes on.
Interviewer: But a lot of people had the impression that you couldn’t be bothered and that you wanted this freedom?
Doris Simeon: No, if I wanted the freedom, I have it now; so, why am I not exploring the situation? Instead of that, I am trying to make money. I have a lot of responsibilities. So, rather than sit down and mourn all day, I have to face the reality.
My mother was a strong woman and I learnt a lot from her. She went through a lot, which I knew of from when I was a little child. In spite of all that she went through, she kept moving on. My mom had a stroke and survived it; and she still looked radiant. My mom jumped from one trade to another. When I think of that, I would be like, this woman, na you born me, I must do that thing wey you teach us. Those are the things I just look back and then I just move on. I have a child that I need to work for, so that he won’t face the kind of suffering I faced in the future.
Interviewer: Will you consider marriage again?
Doris Simeon: I don’t know, but I am not ruling it out because I am human. I might just fall head over heels in love again. But let me still be doing what I am doing. Wherever the Lord takes me, I will go.
Interviewer: What would you do differently when you find love again?
Doris Simeon: I will probably right the wrong things I did then. I mean I will do the right thing three times over.
Interviewer: What were those things?
Doris Simeon: Can I even point them out? I can’t point them out.
Interviewer: Was it that you didn’t have enough time for the family?
Doris Simeon: It wasn’t that in anyway. It is just one of those things you have to deal with. People will say one thing or the other to defend their own sides. When I’m on set, I want to quickly do whatever I am doing. This is because I see a movie script as an examination; and when you have an examination you want to quickly do it and then relax. That is the way I work. I just want to do it and know that I am done with this script, so I can face my family. So, it’s not that I get carried away with work. I just want to do the best I can at that particular time that I am doing that job and get out from that set and face my family or face whatever I need to do next.
Interviewer: At a time, you and Daniel were one of the best couples in Nollywood. What could have gone wrong?
Doris Simeon: Anything could have gone wrong. Anything could have triggered a fire anywhere. You don’t know what might happen the next minute. We are just trying to make things go right, but God has the final say. Yes, things happen in life and till eternity you keep asking that question what went wrong. But if you dwell on that, you won’t move forward because everything that happens has God’s hands in it. There is a reason why anything happens and it has been written that it will happen that way.
Interviewer: After a year, what did you do?
Doris Simeon: Funny enough, after a year, I was like, ‘Doris, how do you think you want to move on with your life? What should you do to move on? That was when I decided not to dwell on the past; otherwise, I will go hungry. People that want to laugh at me are out there, so I will rather make them say, ‘Aha Aha, what’s happening? And I am moving ahead with my life.
Interviewer: What is the relationship between the two of you now, given that you have a child for him?
Doris Simeon: We have a child, so we talk. The boy is there, so why won’t we talk? We cannot be sworn enemies forever. Not every relationship leads to marriage, yet the people involved still talk.
Interviewer: But how do you feel knowing that your colleague is supposedly married to him?
Doris Simeon: She’s a woman and he is a man. Na man I go still follow so (laughs). In this industry, most of us are colleagues; it is not that we are close friends or something. No be say na my mama born am now.
