Is complains and blames for failure of our culture? – Nkiru Sylvanus

“#bring back our girls. We have all spoken, we are known for that, we have always been like this, as a child growing up, all I hear is complains and blames, why this is not working or why that isn’t working, it has always been good reasons why we failed! Now am beginning to ask, is that our way of life? Is complains and blames for failure our culture? This is a great nation! We can actually take responsibility for our actions, we can solve the problems we created! The kidnappers, armed robbers, terrorist, are someone’s brothers, close friends, husband, boy friend, lover! Father! So they are human they live among us. There can only be change when we agree. In a nation where government has failed us, we as individuals can bring the change and solution we seek and desire. It’s all about sacrifice, it’s all about our voices! It’s all about unity! Not an opportunity to be popular! Or an opportunity to be richer! I was once a victim! From my little experience I can imagine what those children are passing through! Pray that ur freedom is not taken by a friend! Not to talk about an enemy! This is not a time to cry or weep for this nation for we have wept for too long. it’s a time to act! A time to stand together! A time for solution! Like Obama will say! “Yes we can” and I Nkeiruka Sylvanus say! Now is the time not tomorrow!”

Biola Ige’s Reaction To The Viral X-rated Pix Of Herself and Muna Obiekwe

I truly was in shock at first sight of the pix and immediately said it was photo-shopped until after so many examinations to my surprise it wasn’t at all.
She was recently contacted by a City People journalists in an attempt for the actress to clear the air on the semi-nude controversial picture.
However, Biola gave a controversial reply: “Thanks for calling but at this period. I shall not be talking, but I appreciate the fact that you called and I promise that soon when I have something to say I will call you”.
The journalist asked himself and the readers: “Is she enjoying this ‘fame’?” Because usually Nollywood actresses reply in another way in such situations. For example “it was leaked and I feel bad”, or “it’s not my pix” or “it was simply photoshopped”.

Nollywood Actress Angela Okorie busted as Prince Eke & Prosper shares their own side of the Story

Muma Gee’s hubby Prince Eke (right) and the alleged blackmailer, full name Prosper Tchidi (left) in a mail they exclusively sent to Lib are insisting Angela truly stole Prosper’s money, that Prosper and Angela are actually lovers, that Angela moved in with him when she arrived South Africa.
Prince Eke speaks to Lib
“Mid last month, Angela Okorie called me help her shoot a movie in South Africa. My wife (Muma Gee) was due to give birth but because of the respect I have for her, I agreed to do the movie. It was her own movie called Ada Abakaliki but she also wanted me to act in another movie being produced by a guy named Ikenna in South Africa which she was also supposed to feature in. It was her movie and she was the one inviting me to South Africa so yes she’s supposed to pay for my flight and accommodation because I
had no other reason to be there.
We arrived South Africa on Monday. She wanted me to stay with her friend but I told her I would rather stay in a hotel that I wasn’t comfortable staying in someone’s house. She put me in one hotel but I didn’t like the place. She paid for a guest house and she asked me to stay with her there but I refused, telling her that she’s a married woman and I am a married man, that I wasn’t comfortable staying with her. I eventually paid to stay at City Lodge but later she called me and told me to come and stay at the guest house she paid for, that she would move out.
When I went to her hotel, she introduced me to a guy named Prosper who I’d never met before. She introduced him to me as her boo. She told me I could stay at the guest house, that she would move in with Prosper. She told the magazine she moved in with a friend name NK. That’s a lie. There’s no friend named NK. Angela moved in with Prosper who has a two-bedroom flat and a roommate who is Tanzanian and not Angela’s friend. Angela lived with Prosper for nine days.
Anyway, eventually Angela told me she was no longer doing the Ikenna movie. But we continued shooting her own movie. Some days later, I saw Angela and Prosper kissing and I was very shocked because I know she’s married. I confronted Prosper and told him he was messing with a married man. Prosper told me Angela had claimed she was estranged from her husband, I told Prosper that was a lie because I know she’s still very much married. When Prosper questioned Angela about what I said they began to have problems. She became angry with me for telling Prosper she was still very much married.
On the day of the alleged theft, we had finished shooting for the day and I wanted to have a shave. I told Prosper to take me to a barbing salon. Angela said she wasn’t going to the salon that she wants to go home. About 30 minutes later, Prosper told me he just received a text message from Angela that she was leaving his house. When Prosper eventually got home, he called me to say Angela had stolen his money, $3,200 and he had been calling her and she was not picking.
I tried calling Angela but she also didn’t pick my calls. Prosper managed to track her down and she was traced to Hilton Hotel in Sandton. He went there around 2am with police officers to have her arrested. Angela was there with another man named Daniel. This is a girl who told me she couldn’t afford to pay for hotel and wanted me squatting with friends, all of a sudden she could afford to pay for a room at Hilton Hotel.
The guy they met in her room returned 10,000 rands to Prosper and signed an affidavit. I don’t know if she took the money but why sign an affidavit to return it?
Angela was taken to Sandton police station, from there she was transferred her to Honey Due police station where she was found guilty, and finally transferred to Ranburg police station where she slept in a cell.
I, Prince Eke bailed her and stood as surety and the first statement she made after she came out was that I sold her out. That I didn’t tell her Prosper was coming with police. Angela was charged to court, she went to court on Tuesday. It was the court that granted her bail. I can send you her charge number. Saying Prosper set her up to take money from her is not true. She introduced him to me as her boo and never said he was harassing her sex. It was strange to read all that. Besides Prosper drives a Mercedes Benz E360 and he’s a well known rap artist.

Prosper Tchidi’s side of the story:
That I tried to rape her or was begging her for sex is laughable. I knew she was coming to South Africa. I promised to help her when she got here. She and Prince Eke arrived on Monday morning, I saw them in the evening and Prince was complaining that he didn’t like where he was staying. So Angela and I agreed that she would move out of the guest house and move in with me so Prince Eke could move into the guest house. She left the place and moved in with me on Wednesday. She said she moved in with her friend named NK. There’s no such person. I have a roommate, a young girl that I am helping, who is like a family friend. She didn’t know Angela until she moved in with me. She lied about moving into a friend’s house. She moved into my house. We were lovers. Please quote me.
When Prince Eke confronted me and said I was messing around with a married woman, I was quite surprised because Angela told me she was estranged from her husband. After I heard she was married, I distanced myself from her and we began to have issues in the house. She started to give me attitude and also Prince Eke because he had told me she was married.
About the money, after we finished shooting that Saturday, I took Prince Eke to a Barber’s salon to get a hair cut. Angela said she wanted to go home. Later she called me to say she was leaving my house. We had quarreled that morning but she didn’t tell me she would be leaving. She was supposed to stay at mine until she leaves South Africa.
When I got home I asked my roommate if she’d seen Angela and she said Angela had left the house in a hurry with her things, that someone had been waiting for her outside the house. I checked the cameras in the premises and saw that she’d left in a hurry. I went to my room and searched for my money and saw it was gone. I called her for several hours but she didn’t pick, so I went to the police. We were able to trace her to Hilton hotel. She and the guy with her were both arrested and it was the guy that signed the affidavit. Why would I set her up? I am a rap artist and producer in South Africa. My stage name is P-Skrilla.
Am kind of confused with this whole news, hope its a stunt sha.. What do you guys think is going on?

As the ‘Half of a Yellow Sun' hit the cinema, it's one of the biggest films I’ve done saysGenevieve Nnaji

Super actress, Genevieve Nnaji who has done hundreds of movies said Half of a Yellow Sun is one of the biggest movies she has done. In an interactive session with journalists she said;
“Half of a Yellow Sun is one of the biggest films I have done so far, but definitely not the most challenging role I have played in movies. I have done a lot more challenging roles in Nollywood”
Genevieve Nnaji played the role of Miss. Adebayo in the movie. She said it was safer for her because she didn’t have to experience the horrors of the war but hopes that in future if a different story is told about the civil war she will love play to the role of an Igbo woman where she would express what it meant to be an Igbo woman at that era.
Half of a Yellow Sun is an adaptation of Chimamanda Adiche’s bestselling and award-winning novel with the same title. The movie was produced with over 10 million Dollars (1.7 Billion Naira) and has a superb cast of stars, starring OSCAR nominee and BAFTA award winner, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Genevieve Nnaji, veteran singer Onyeka Onwenu, Thandie Newton, Anika Rose Noni, OC Ukeje, Zack Orji, Wale Ojo, Gloria Young, Tina Mba, , Joseph Mawle, John Boyega amongst others.
According to a press release signed by Bigsam media, the movie has been released in the UK and would be released in Nigeria this Friday on the 25th of April. And for the first time an African movie would be released in the mainstream US Cinema, Middle East, New Zealand, Australia and Portugal. It is also the first movie to show at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The movie was directed by UK-based Nigerian playwright, Biyi Bandele and produced by winner of three BAFTAs and an OSCAR, Andrea Calderwood and Yewande Sadiku, an investment banker.

Omotola Begs Fans, Please Don’t Let Me Suffer More I Have Suffered Enough

Omotola Ekeinde has said she has suffered enough for refusing to party with politicians and turning down their Ghana must go bags, and begged people not to make her suffer the more by mentioning her name among those who wine and dine with politicians. Speaking as a guest at the just concluded Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NEC), the actress said;
“Somebody on a blog a few days ago wrote that there are Nollywood personalities who are friends with politicians, sharing the national cake together. I, Omotola, have never campaigned or partied with any government, so don’t mention my name among those who do that. I have suffered enough for refusing to party with them and take ‘Ghana Must Go’ back home, so don’t let me suffer more.”

Marriage? Not in my Agenda Again says Kate Henshaw

Nollywood Actress, Kate Henshaw who has been in the industry for a long time and still waxing strong, in a chance encounter with Tope Olukole, speaks on issues in the movie industry and her personal life, among others.
Excerpts
It seems you don’t regret your divorce, because you always have this cheerful look?
It’s God. Looking back at my life and where I came from, I never even thought I would be an actress. I never even thought I would have an opportunity to meet people, to be a role model. So, it’s not for me to feel self-pity. I’m grateful to God every single day. I choose to be happy. I am a happy person. Someone encouraged me with these words yesterday: “Every problem you have will resolve and dissolve.”
So, my divorce is not the end of life and my God has given me cheer and joy. That explains why I am always happy and cheerful. No regrets.
Will you remarry?
I am not sure about remarrying but I will love again. I’m a lover, not a fighter. I’m only going to be very choosy. I don’t know about marriage, but, maybe, love.
You’ve kept your daughter away from the limelight. Is this deliberate?
Yes. You want them to kidnap my daughter? When they see her picture, then they will know who she is. I remember somebody sent a card to me through her school and I was so surprised.
They just dropped it on her desk and I was wondering how the person knew my daughter attends that school. Should she decide to step into the limelight later, that would be her call, not mine. I’ve managed to keep her away and I’m sure I’ve done a good job. Now, she is not even in the country and it’s better she schools there.
Your divorce came as a shock to a lot of people. Why did you take that decision?
Shock? Have you not heard that Seal and Heidi (Klum) have divorced? Haven’t you seen people who have been married for 20 to 25 years and divorced? I’m not perfect; no one is. We all have our low moments. It doesn’t mean I’m a failure. Everybody goes through bad patches in life. Life must go on, whether we like it or not. It’s always better to part under good circumstances than for someone to be in jail or die, or to be hurling insults at each other. There is no need for that.
What is the secret of your looks?
I don’t fix artificial nails. I’m back to natural nails. I just put on some long-lasting polish. I fixed my nails for over 10 years but I’m tired of it now. I want to be healthy in my old age. And I would never let relaxer touch my hair again. All these are the secret of my looks.

The actress released an official statement via her publicist confirming the report.
Find it below…
We regret to officially announce the resignation of Nollywood actress Monalisa Chinda from Monalisa Magazine, which also marks the end of her partnership with Mr. Lanre Nzeribe, due to irreconcilable professional differences.
Over the past few months, both parties have made concerted efforts to retain their partnership, to no avail, which led to their mutual agreement that a separation would be the best course of action.

Monalisa Chinda extends her sincere appreciation to the entire staff of the company for the great working experience during the time being. She wishes Mr. Nzeribe and the staff all the best in their future endeavours.
